Overview of Glimepiride + Metformin + Pioglitazone Bilayered Tablets:

INSUGLO-PM Tablets are combinations that provides better glycemic control in the management of Type-2 Diabetes and probably in the prevention of its associated macrovascular and microvascular complications. Pioglitazone acts as insulin sensitizer; used to reduce insulin resistance. Glimepiride lowers blood glucose level. Metformin is a first line drug of choice for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The triple combination is well tolerated and gives better glycemic control in Type 2 Diabetes and probably in the prevention of its associated macrovascular and microvascular complications.

Pioglitazone is an anti-hyperglycemic agent belonging to a class of thiazolidinediones. Glimepride belongs to a class of long acting sulphonyl urea. Metformin belongs to a class of biguanide.
INSULGO-PM can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Management of Type-2 Diabetes (NIDDM).
  • Improves insulin sensitivity, but also exerts beneficial effects of the cardiovascular metabolic syndrome.
  • It is indicated as second-line therapy when diet, exercise, and the single agents or dual therapy do not result in adequate glycemic control in patients with type -2 diabetes.
One INSUGLO-PM Tablet once daily with the first main meal of the day or as directed by Physician.
The combination provides better glycemic control in the management of type -2 diabetes and probably in the prevention of its associated macrovascular and microvascular complications.
