Overview
LORTHOX-P Tablets contains Lornoxicam and Paracetamol. Lornoxicam is oxicam class with analgesic and antipyretic properties. The combination of Lornoxicam and Paracetamol provides faster relief from pain.
Lornoxicam and Paracetamol belong to the class of NSAID. Paracetamol belongs to the class of analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action.
LORTHOX-P Tablets can be used in the treatment of following conditions:
- Post operative pain or preemptive analgesia
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Acute sciatica
- Musculokeletal pain
- Lower back pain
One LORTHOX-P Tablet twice a day or as directed by Physician.
Lornoxicam’s has inhibitory action on prostaglandin and thromboxane synthesis through the inhibition of both COX-1 and COX-2. This leads to the reduction of inflammation, pain, fever, and swelling, which are mediated by prostaglandins. Paracetamol is generally considered to be a weak inhibitor of the synthesis of prostaglandins (PGs).paracetamol are similar to those of the selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors.
