Melacut
(Hydroquinone 2%+ Tretinoin 0.025% +Mometasone Furoate 0.1% Cream)

Overview
MELACUT Cream is a triple drug combination containing Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Mometasone. Hydroquinone act by prevention of new melanin production. Mometasone works by suppressing inflammation and the immune response associated with inflammation. Tretinoin promotes detachment of cornified cells and the enhanced shedding of corneocytes from the follicle.
The triple drug combination helps to reduce inflammation, the atrophy associated with the corticosteroid and remove pigmentation by increasing keratinocyte turnover and the penetration of Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is a type of phenol, a derivative of benzene. Mometasone is a glucocorticoid (steroid). Tretinoin is a naturally occurring derivative of vitamin A
Melasma, a chronic skin disorder characterised by blotchy and brownish facial pigmentation. It helps to lighten the skin, reducing the risk of dermatitis and inflammation of the skin.
Apply a thin film of MELACUT Cream to the affected area once a day, only on prescription of Doctor. Rub it in until the cream dissolves.
The mechanisms of action of Hydroquinone include: (i) reversible inhibition of tyrosinase (the main enzyme involved in the conversion of tyrosine to melanin); and (ii) selective damage to melansomes and melanocytes.
Mometasone is a glucocorticoid (steroid) that relieves itching and inflammation of eczema, dermatitis, allergy and other skin rashes.
Tretinoin in acne is due primarily to its ability to modify abnormal follicular keratinization.
