Overview of Micronised Dehydroepiandrosterone Capsules:
OVACAP Capsule contains Micronised Dehydroepiandrosterone 25mg.
Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is an important endogenous steroid hormone. It is useful by 25% of invitro fertilization (IVF) as an adjuvant in assisted reproductive programs. Its supplementation improves pregnancy chances in women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), by possibly reducing aneuploidy. DHEA supplementation may have a beneficial role as an adjunct to gonadotropins in the treatment of infertility with POA (premature ovarian aging). DHEA improves ovarian function, increases pregnancy chances and, by reducing aneuploidy, lowers miscarriage rates (by 50-80%) at all ages.
Dehydroepiandrosterone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as androgens.
OVACAP Capsule can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
- Diminished ovarian reserve
- Premature ovarian aging
- Menopausal hot flashes
- Adrenal insufficiency
- Other conditions like depression, erectile dysfunction, Alzheimer’s disorder, osteoporosis etc.
One OVACAP Capsule twice or thrice daily or as directed by Physician.
DHEA is a prohormone for the sex steroids. It plays a role in binding globulins to testosterone, thus decreasing free testosterone by changing globulin shape and increased binding affinity. Oral administration of DHEA decrease loose binding of testosterone.
