Pantoprazole as proton pump inhibitor decreases the amount of acid produced in stomach . Bioavailability is 77% when taken orally.

Pantonis can be used for the treatment of following conditions:
- Heartburn
- Acid reflux
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).
- Gastric and Duodenal ulcers.
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
1 Tablet twice a day
Pantoprazole forms a covalent link with two locations on the (H+,K+)-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell, reducing the last stage of gastric acid production. An antisecretory action that lasts longer than 24 hours is caused by the binding to the (H+,K+)-ATPase.
