Peronis
(Cefoperazone 1g Injection)
Overview:
PERONIS Injection contains Cefoperazone. It is one of few cephalosporin antibiotics effective in treating Pseudomonas bacterial infections which are otherwise resistant to these antibiotics.
Cefoperazone is a third generation cephalosporin.
It is an antibacterial.It shows strong activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
PERONIS Injection can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
- Respiratory tract infections
- Infections of skin and skin structures
- Pelvic inflammatory infections, endometritis, and other infections of female genital tract.
- Bacterial Septicemia
- Peritonitis and other intra-abdominal infections
- Urinary tract infections
2-4g/day PERONIS Injection administered in equally divided doses every 12 hours, or as directed by Physician.
Cephalosporins exerts bactericidal activity by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis and inhibits cross-linking of the peptidoglycan.
