Quadrocef
(Cefepime + Tazobactam 1.125 g Injection)
Overview:
QUADROCEF Injection contains Cefepime and Tazobactam. Combination of a fourth generation cephalosporin with a ß-lactamase inhibitor has the theoretical advantage of additional activity against AmpC and possibly OXA enzymes over a third generation Cephalosporin.

Cefepime is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Tazobactam is a antibacterial penicillin derivative which inhibits the action of bacterial beta-lactamases.
It is an antibacterial.
QUADROCEF Injection can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
- Pneumonia
- Febrile Neutopenia
- Skin & skin structure infection
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Urinary Tract Infections
1-2g QUADROCEF Injection by IV for 7 to14 days, or as directed by Physician.
Cefepime binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, causing the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
Tazobactam is a beta lactamase inhibitor used to enhance activity of antibiotics by blocking bacterial beta-lactamases.
