Overview of Voglibose Tablets:
VOGLIBON Tablets contain Voglibose. Voglibose is effective and it is generally well tolerated in a wide range of Type 2 diabetic mellitus patients. It may also reduce insulin dose requirement in Type I diabetes patients. It has higher tolerability than acarbose.
Voglibose that is an α- glucosidase inhibitor.
VOGLIBON Tablets can be used in the improvement of postprandial hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus.
One VOGLIBON Tablet 0.2mg or 0.3mg three times daily before meal or as directed by Physician.
Voglibose reduces intestinal absorption of starch, dextrin, and disaccharides by inhibiting the action of α-glucosidase in the intestinal brush border. Inhibition of this enzyme halts the decomposition of disaccharides into monosaccharides and slows the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. α-glucosidase inhibitors do not stimulate insulin release and therefore do not result in hypoglycemia.
