Antuc-DSR

(Rabeprazole 20 mg + Domperidone 30 mg Sustained Release Capsules)

Overview:

ANTUC-DSR Capsules contain Rabeprazole and Domperidone. Specifically, Rabeprazole blocks the final step in the acid secretion. In contrast to the other PPIs, Rabeprazole forms a partially reversible bond with the proton pump. It also works at a broader range of stomach pH. For these reasons, it may work for longer than other PPIs.
Domperidone possesses both prokinetic and antiemetic properties due to its inhibitory action at dopamine D2 receptors. Rabeprazole and domperidone provided significant and remarkable improvement in symptoms of GERD.

Rabeprazole belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitor. Domperidone is a derivative of benzimidazole, it is peripherally selective antagonist of Dopamine D2 and D3 receptor.

ANTUC-DSR Capsules can be used in the treatment of following conditions:

  • GERD
  • Dyspepsia & acidic heartburn
  • Hypersecretary conditions (Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome)
  • Helicobacter pylori eradication
  • To reduce duodenal ulcer recurrence
  • Post-operative nausea and vomiting
  • Nausea associated with acid peptic disorders

Adults & Children (12 yrs and above): One ANTUC-DSR capsule once daily for 4-8 weeks or as directed by Physician.

Rabeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+, K+-ATPase) enzyme system found at the secretory surface of parietal cells.

Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine (D2) and (D3) receptor antagonist. It provides relief from nausea by blocking receptors at the chemo-receptor trigger zone.
