Overview of Diclofenac Potassium + Serratopeptidase Tablets:
PEPTINIM-D Tablets contain Diclofenac Potassium and Serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID) with antipyretic and analgesic actions. Serratiopeptidase is a bacterial peptide-cleaving enzyme (proteolytic enzyme). It is also a potent anti-inflammatory agent that exerts fibrinolytic and anti-edematic property. It is a centrally acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions. Serratiopeptidase reduces swelling, pain, pus and haematomas.
Diclofenac exerts potent anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic and analgesic activity. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme, powerful anti-inflammatory and an anti-edemic agent.
PEPTINIM-D can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
Mild to moderate pain and inflammation in arthritis, trauma, surgery, fibromyalgia etc.

One PEPTINIM-D Tablet three times daily or as directed by Physician.
Diclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase pathway (COX) and thus inhibits biosynthesis of prostaglandin and other pro-inflammatory mediators of pain pathway. Serratiopeptidase is an anti-inflammatory proteolytic enzyme that binds to the alpha-2-macroglobulin in the blood, which helps to mask its antigenicity. Then it is slowly transferred to the site of inflammation. It inhibits PGE2 at the site of inflammation and neutrophils and thereby helps in pain relief.
