RIGHTANGLE-TM

Dorzolamide HCI I.P. eq. to Dorzolamide 2%w/v + Timolol Maleate I.P eq. to Timolol 0.5%w/v
Home >> Ophthalmology Care

Overview:

Dorzolamide 2% w/v + Timolol 0.5% w/v is a fixed-dose combination effective in primary open-angle glaucoma. A highly effective treatment for glaucoma that works by reducing intraocular pressure. Dorzolamide decreases the production of aqueous humor by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase, while Timolol, a beta-blocker, further reduces fluid buildup in the eye.. Clinical data from Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci (2022) showed a 35% intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction over 12 weeks.

Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitor + Beta Blocker

1 drop twice daily

Right angle-TM can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:

Primary open-angle glaucoma
Ocular hypertension
Secondary glaucoma (pseudoexfoliative and pigmentary glaucoma)
Post-surgical intraocular pressure management

Dorzolamide inhibits carbonic anhydrase II in the ciliary processes, reducing bicarbonate formation and subsequent aqueous humor production, lowering intraocular pressure. Timolol, a non-selective beta-blocker, reduces aqueous humor secretion by inhibiting beta-adrenergic stimulation in the ciliary epithelium.
