Cefixime is a third generation cephalosporin.
8 mg/kg/day in divided doses
CEFEXY SYRUP can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
- Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis)
- Urinary tract infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis)
- Typhoid fever (Salmonella infections)
- Gonorrhea (uncomplicated cases)
- Otitis media (middle ear infections)
- Sinusitis (bacterial sinus infections)
Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by blocking peptidoglycan cross-linking, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death.
