DOXINIS-CV Tablets can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis

Cefpodoxime is active against a wide spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It inhibits cell wall synthesis. The bactericidal activity of Cefpodoxime results from its inhibition of cell wall synthesis.
Clavulanic acid contains a beta-lactam ring and binds strongly to beta-lactamase at or near its active site. It is an enzyme inhibitor that enhances the antibacterial activity.
