CINCV 10

Overview:

Cincv 10 is a calcium channel blocker containing Clinidipine, available in 10 mg Tablet formulations. It is used primarily for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Clinidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels, thus helping to lower blood pressure and reduce the heart’s workload. It is known for its ability to provide a longer-lasting effect compared to other calcium channel blockers, offering once-daily dosing. Cincv 10 is particularly useful in managing patients with essential hypertension, and its sustained action makes it a preferred choice for effective blood pressure control.

Hypertension (Essential Hypertension):

Initial Dose: 5 mg once daily.

Maintenance Dose: The dose may be increased to 10 mg once daily depending on the patient’s response and clinical condition.

The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg once daily.

  • Essential Hypertension:
For the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) to lower the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.
  • Hypertension with Co-morbidities:
In patients with hypertension and comorbid conditions such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and coronary artery disease, Cincv™ helps reduce complications.

Clinidipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells and myocardial cells. By blocking calcium entry, Clinidipine promotes vascular relaxation, leading to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and a decrease in blood pressure. This mechanism helps to reduce the workload on the heart, making it effective in controlling hypertension. Unlike some other calcium channel blockers, Clinidipine has a longer duration of action, providing sustained blood pressure control with once-daily dosing.
