Esolac (Lactulose) is a mild yet effective laxative used to relieve chronic constipation and support gut health. It works by drawing water into the intestine, softening the stool, and promoting natural bowel movements. Additionally, it helps in reducing ammonia levels in patients with hepatic encephalopathy, making it beneficial for liver health.

Osmotic Laxative

Adults: 15-30 ml per day, adjustable as needed
Children (1-6 years): 5-10 ml per day
Infants: 2.5-5 ml per day
Hepatic encephalopathy: 30-60 ml per day in divided doses

Lactulose is a synthetic disaccharide that is not absorbed in the intestine. It increases water retention in the colon, making stools softer and easier to pass. Additionally, it promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, reducing harmful ammonia absorption in liver patients
