PANTONIS

Overview:

Pantonis (Pantoprazole 40 mg) is a highly effective proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. It provides long-lasting acid suppression, promoting the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers, GERD, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Peptic Ulcer Disease: 40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: 40-80 mg twice daily, adjust as needed
H. pylori Eradication (Triple Therapy): 40 mg twice daily for 7-14 days (with antibiotics)
NSAID-induced Ulcer Prevention: 20-40 mg once daily

GI Bleeding Prevention: 40 mg IV every 12-24 hours

  • Severe GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)
  • Peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal ulcers)
  • Erosive esophagitis
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (excess acid secretion)
  • Stress ulcers in critically ill patients
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding prevention in high-risk cases NSAID-induced ulcer prevention
  • H. pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy)

Pantoprazole inhibits the proton pump (H⁺/K⁺ ATPase) in gastric parietal cells, leading to potent acid suppression. This reduces gastric acidity, alleviates acid reflux symptoms, and promotes ulcer healing.
