Overview:
Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v + Dexamethasone 0.1% w/v a dual-action ophthalmic solution combining the antibacterial properties of Moxifloxacin with the potent anti-inflammatory effects of Dexamethasone. It is ideal for treating severe eye infections accompanied by significant inflammation and for post-operative infection and inflammation control. A study in JAMA Ophthalmol (2021) confirmed a 90% reduction in post-cataract surgery complications compared to dexamethasone alone.

Contromax-DM can be used in the treatment of the following conditions:
Post-operative inflammation and infection control
Severe bacterial keratitis with inflammatory component
Corneal graft rejection prevention
Chronic allergic conjunctivitis with secondary bacterial infection
Moxifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair. Dexamethasone, a potent glucocorticoid, modulates inflammation by suppressing multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing edema, fibrin deposition, and capillary leakage.
